Minimum Fitra fixed at Tk 65

Staff Correspondent: National Fitra committee of Islamic Foundation has fixed the minimum figure of fitra, a charity done by capable and solvent Muslims at the end of Ramadan, for this year Tk 65 while the maximum Tk 1,980.

The decision has been taken in a fitra fixing committee meeting held at Islami Foundation conference room of the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram on Thursday morning.

Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Moulana Mohammad Mizanur Rahman presided over the meeting.

Per person Fitra has been fixed taking into account the market prices of ata, dates and other essential items.

Fitra can be given in cash or kind.

Members of the National Fitra Fixing Committee Mozaharul Mannan, Muhammad Abdus Salam, Mufti Mohammad Abdullah, Prof. Sirajuddin Ahmed, Mufassir Mohammad Abu Saleh Patwari, Mufti Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan were, among others, attended the meeting.
