Minister’s B’baria visit: Cocktail exploded

Brahmanbaria Correspondent: Protesters exploded cocktails at a livestock center in Bijoynagar upazila after Fisheries and Livestock Minister Muhammed Sayedul Hoque left the spot inaugurating an office building on Sunday.

Earlier, district administration imposed section 144 in four upazilas of Brahmanbaria including Bijoynagar after local AL enforced the hartal ahead of the minister’s visit.

Agitating ruling party activists threw brick bats and stones towards the on duty law enforcers at Chandura just after the minister crossed the area. Later, the Minister inaugurated the office around 1:00pm.

Meanwhile, violating section 144, Awami League activists chanted slogan against the minister.

Minister Muhammed Sayedul Hoque said that miscreants tried to vandalize today's programme. They vandalised the nameplate of the livestock center. However, the steps from local administrative successfully completed the programme.

Brahmanbaria Deputy Commissioner Rezwanur Rahman, police super Mizanur Rahman and other high officials attended the inauguration ceremony.
