Ministry gets no directives from PM over quota

Secretariat Correspondent: Public Administration Ministry has yet not received the final directives from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over cancellation of quota system to issue a gazette in this regard which she announced in the Parliament amidst strong protests by the students and job seekers across the country.

Md Mozammel Haque Khan, Senior Secretary of the Ministry, came up with the disclosure in a workshop held at its conference room on Tuesday.

He said it is not possible to issue gazette cancelling quota system without the directives and suggestions from PM as she herself announced to abolish it.

He, however, hopes to issue gazette in this regard soon.
