Minor dead in police custody: 3 cops sued

Staff Correspondent: A case has been filed against Rafiqul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Wari Police Station of the city, and two of his collogues over allegation of killing a minor boy in the custody.

Rita Akter, mother of the deceased Rakib Howladar, 15, filed the case with Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court on Wednesday.

Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah came up with an order of judicial probe into the incident after hearing in the case.

The other accused in the case are: OC (Investigation) of the same police station Md Selim, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Jyoti, informer Mosharraf and two to three unknown persons.

Plaintiff's lawyer Emdadul Haque Lal confirmed the news.
