Miraz gets PM promised plot

Sports Desk: Bangladesh's spin youngster Mehidy Hasan Miraz has got the plot for house which was promised by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

On behalf of Miraz, his father Md Jalal Hossain received the documents concerned from Khulna Development Authority (KDA) on August 24.

The spin sensation Miraz is currently playing test against Australia. That's why the registration process is being delayed. It will be completed when Miraz will return Khulna after the ongoing two-match test series at home against Australia.

KDA sources said Miraz was given a plot of 3.07 kathas at KDA's commercial cum residential area at Mujgunni main road under Khulna City Corporation.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved the plot for Miraz on a symbolic price, according a KDA letter.

Miraz's father Jalal Hossain thanked Prime Minister for her kind assistance.

He said, "Being happay with my son's outstanding performance, the honorable PM gave land to Miraz. We are very much grateful to her."

"The registry will be completed when Miraz will return home after the ongoing Bangladesh-Australia test series," he added.

Miraz got nine wickets at home series against the visiting England that helped Bangladesh to draw the series. After the series, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina promised to give him a plot for his residence. PM then immediately directed Khulna Deputy Commissioner to take necessary steps in this regard.
