Mirpur market fire under control

Staff Correspondent: A fire that broke out at a 10 storey market building in the city’s Mirpur area, has been brought under control after two hours.

The fire originated at the sixth floor the high-rise building in Mirpur section 14 around 5:15pm on Sunday.



On information, 14 fire fighting units with the army, police and navy, rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.

Confirming the matter, Fire Service Headquarters duty Officer Ershad Hossain told risingbd.com, “The fire broke out at Mini market in Mirpur section 14.”



No casualty was reported so far and the source of the fire could not be known immediately.
