Mitu murder: Parents interrogated

Staff Correspondent: Parents of former Superintendent of Police (SP) Babul Akter's wife Mahmuda Khanam Mitu were interrogated over their daughter's murder.
Md. Kamruzzaman, the investigation officer (IO) of the case, quizzed the ex-police official Mosharrof Hossain and his wife Shaheda Begum at Chittagong Metropolitan Police Headquarters on Thursday noon.
IO of the case Md. Kamruzzaman confirmed the news.
He said, "They were quizzed over the murder for the sake of investigation."
He, however, could not tell what information he got after interrogating them.
On June 5, 2016, three assailants stabbed and shot Mitu dead when she was taking her son to his school bus stop at GEC intersection in the port city.
