'Mitu murder probe at final stage'

Staff Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said the probe into the murder of Mahmuda Khanam Mitu, wife of former Superintendent of Police (SP) Babul Akter, is almost on the edge. The charge sheet in the case will be submitted to court very soon.

The Minister told this to the reporters after a attending a programme at Tejgaon in the capital on Friday afternoon.

Kamal said those are identified in the murder case were already disclosed. Legal steps would be taken soon in the case. Law enforcers are now observing some additional evidences.

Those are involved in the murder will not be spared.  All culprits must be brought under justice, he added.

In reply to a query, the Minister said he was not aware of the updates over disappearing of fours from the capital Banani in same day. Law enforcement agencies are investigating into the matter.
