Moghbazar-Mouchak flyover to open on Thursday

Staff Correspondent: The much-awaited Moghbazar-Mouchak Flyover will be opened to traffic simultaneously on Thursday.

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina will open the entire flyover through a video conference at 12:00pm from her official residence Ganabhaban. 

Shushanta Kumar Paul, project director of the Moghbazar-Mouchak said that couple of lanes of Moghbazar-Mouchak flyover initially introduced. Already the construction work of the flyover has been done.

After inauguration of the flyover, general people will be able to use it. Once the entire flyover is opened to traffic, vehicles can go over eight road intersections and three level-crossings at Karwan Bazar, Moghbazar and Malibagh, substantially decreasing the city traffic jam.

On February 16, 2013, Prime minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the project work and it was implemented under the supervision of the LGED to ease traffic between Dhaka's north and south.
