Mohiuddin Chowdhury to be taken to Singapore today

Staff Correspondent: Former Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury is expected to take to Singapore for advanced treatment today.

An air ambulance carrying Mohiuddin will fly for Singapore around 4:00pm on Thursday.

His personal assistant Osman Goni confirmed the news.

The Chittagong Metropolitan Awami League president is currently undergoing treatment at the capital's Square Hospital.

On Sunday, Mohiuddin was taken to Dhaka from Chittagong by a helicopter and admitted to the hospital. Since, he had been kept in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.

Seventy-four-year-old Mohiuddin was hospitalised at Max Hospital of Chittagong when he was feeling uncomfortable early November 12.

He has been suffering from kidney and heart diseases for long.
