Mokabbir to take oath Tuesday

Parliament Correspondent: Gono Forum's another MP-elect Mokabbir Khan, who contested 11th parliamentary election under the banner of Jatiya Oikyafront from Sylhet-2 constituency, is set to take oath on Tuesday, following the footstep of party MP Sultan Mohammad Mansur.

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury will administrate oath to him at 12:00pm at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

M A Kamal Billah, Personal Secretary (PS) of the speaker, confirmed the news.

Mokabbir told media that he is taking oath. He wrote the Speaker a letter in this regard on Monday.

Earlier, the party MP Sultan Mansur (Moulvibazar-2), who was later expelled from the party, took oath on March 7.

BNP along with Gono Forum and some other parties joined the December-30 election in alliance under the banner of Jatiya Oikyafront. BNP bagged six seats while Gono Forum two in the election.
