Moon-Sighting Committee to sit today

Secretariat Correspondent: The National Moon-Sighting Committee is going to sit again today to resolve confusion over the date of Shab-e-Barat.

The meeting will be started at 11:00am.

Earlier on April 6, a group of Islamists claimed that they received reports of sighting of the moon for the Arabic month of Shaban. The group have also been invited to the meeting.

The meeting will be chaired by State Minister of Religious Affairs Sheikh Md Abdullah at the conference room of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
