Over 100 teachers of 8 schools involved in coaching business

MA Rahman: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has identified more than 100 teachers of eight schools in the city who are involved in coaching business.

Meanwhile, the ACC's search team is collecting relevant information about the teachers in a bid to take a legal action against them.  After the collection of information, the search team will recommend to the ACC to take a disciplinary action against them.

The education institutions are Motijheel Ideal School and College, Motijheel Government Boys High School, Motijheel Government Girls High School, Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, Motijheel Model School, Government Laboratory High School, Dhanmondi Government Boys School and College and Khilgaon Government High School.

An ACC senior officer told risingbd that after getting the interim report of the coaching business, the commission ordered to inquire into the report. A six-member search team was formed headed by Dhaka divisional office-1 Deputy Director Mohammad Ibrahim.  ACC's Assistant Directors Jahangir Alam, Abdul Wadud, Monirul Islam and Fazlul Bari and Deputy Assistant Director Ataur Rahman are in the team.

So far, more than 100 teachers of famous 8 schools and colleges in the capital have been identified in the search. On the afternoon of August 5, a 10-member ACC team raided the coaching centers in the capital's Motijheel, Siddheswari and Shahjahanpur areas. In the raid, several teachers of Motijheel Ideal School and College, Motijheel Government Boys High School and Viqarunnisa Noon School and College were found in the training session.
According to the ACC sources, the biggest complaint was found against Nizam Kamal, an English teacher of Motijheel Ideal School and College.

He was running a coaching business with rented four floors of a six-storey building in Shahjahanpur area. The ACC found the truth about this.

Even the allegation of non-cooperation was found in the ACC investigation. During the raid, the teacher Nizam Kamal was found in the coaching center. He closed the door of a room in the building and stayed inside.

Afzal Gani of the same school and Abdur Rahim, a teacher of mathematics, were found in the coaching centre.
