Mother among 4 get death penalty for killing

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: A district court in Khulna on Tuesday awarded death penalty to four people, including a mother, for their involvement in killing a nine-year old child.

Dilruba Sultana, judge of Khulna Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court passed the order around 11:30am.

The convicts' are - mother Sonia Aktar, her lover Nurunnabi, Rasul and Hafizur Rahman.

According to the case statement, Hafizur Rahman's wife Latifa had an extra marital relationship with the convicts. Following the relationship, on June 6, 2016, the killers killed Hasmi Mia, 9.

The day next, the body of the child was found floating at a roadside Beel.
