Mother, son slaughtered to death in capital

Staff Correspondent: A woman and her son were slaughtered to death by miscreants in the capital on Wednesday evening.

The killing incident took place at a residence located at Pioneer lane in city’s Kakrail.

The deceased were identified as Shamsunnahar, wife of Abdul Karim and her son Shaon. Abdul Karim was the owner of a six-storey building where the gruesome killing happened.

Confirming the matter, Kazi Mainul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ramna police station, said that on information, they rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies from fifth floor of the six-storey building.

The ill-fated mother and her son were found lying in the residence, the OC said.

The woman and her son might have been killed following a family feud, the police official suspected.

In this connection, police detained a girl who worked as a domestic help in the residence, owner of the building Abdul Karim and security guard for interrogation, he added.
