'Motorcycle without license to be confiscated'

Senior Correspondent: Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu said a motorcycle which will be found without license will be confiscated and will never be given back to its owner.

The minister came up with the opinion while addressing a meeting of the cabinet committee at the conference room of the home ministry in the secretariat on Wednesday.

Stern action will be taken against the motorcycles without license. If anyone is found using motorcycles without license, then those motorcycles will be permanently confiscated and will never be given back to its owner, Amu said.

This drive against the motorcycles without license will continue all the year round, not only ahead of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, he added.

Asked about who will confiscate the motorcycles, Amu said traffic police will do the job as they deal with the matter.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu and representatives of law enforcement agencies were present at the meeting.
