Moudud slams govt over DNCC polls

Senior Correspondent: BNP standing committee member Moudud Ahmed has posed a question that why the state did not file appeal petition against the stay order of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) polls.

He also slammed Election Commission (EC) lawyer and Attorney General for their roles in the case.

The BNP stalwart came up with the statement while discussing at a programme at the National Press Club in the capital on Friday.

Moudud said it has been proved that DNCC polls was stopped in accordance with the Election Commission (EC) and the government as no appeal was filed in this regard.

"If the government was cordial with the election, they filed appeal petition against the stay order," he added.
