Muhith assures of merging BCS economic cadre

Special Correspondent: Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has assured of taking necessary steps to accelerate the merging process between the Civil Administration Service and Civil Economic Service.

The finance minister made the assurance while talking to journalists after a meeting with newly elected executive committee of the Bangladesh Civil Service Economic Association (BCSEA) at the Finance Ministry in the city on Monday.

When the BCSEA team sought support from the Finance Minister for accelerating the merging process between the Civil Administration Service and Civil Economic Service, Muhith assured of his cooperation in this regard. "The decision on merging is obviously going to be positive," he said.

The meeting led by BCSEA president Kazi Jahangir Alam was also attended by the newly elected executive committee members.
