Muhith hints at cutting corporate tax

Special Correspondent: Finance Minister AMA Muhith has hinted at reducing corporate tax in the upcoming budget for fiscal year 2018-19.

He has also spoken of raising tax-free income limit in the budget.

The minister came up with the hints while speaking at a pre-budget discussion organized by Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) at the ministry’s conference room on Wednesday.

State Minister for Finance MA Mannan, National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan and ERF President Saif Islam Dilal were, among others, present at the discussion.
