Muktamoni undergoes surgery for 2nd time at DMCH

Staff Correspondent: Doctors at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) conducted operation on Muktamoni for the second time on Tuesday morning.

Doctors began the surgery at the operation theatre in the Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of the DMCH around 9:15am.

Muktamoni, a 12-year-old girl of Kamarbaisa village in Satkhira sadar upazila, was admitted to the hospital on July 11 with a malignant growth on her right arm. Later, she was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

A 13-member medical board at a meeting on August 8 decided to operate on 12-year-old girl Muktamoni as a biopsy result showed the existence of the tumour in her blood vessels in her right hand.
