‘Myanmar deliberately committing crimes against humanity’

KMA Hasnat, from Cox’s Bazar: Myanmar government is deliberately committing crimes against humanity. The atrocities they are carrying out on Rohingya people are intentional and it seems that they are doing that to drive out the Rohingyas from the country forever, Finance Minister AMA Muhith said.

The minister came up with the comment while talking to reporters after the distribution of relief goods among Rohingyas in Ukhia upazila of Cox’s Bazar district on Saturday.

Muhith urged the international community to take immediate steps for the smooth repatriation of Rohingyas to their own country following a visit to Rohingya camps.

He also urged the international community to mount pressure on Myanmar to stop pushing its nationals into Bangladesh.

GOC of the 10 Infantry Division Major General Mohammad Maksudur Rahman and other top officials of the army were present during his visit.

The finance minister was apprised of the latest condition of Rohingya problem through power point presentation after he arrived at the army camps set up in Ukhia Degree College.
