Nachiketa tunes, sings and models on Uday Hakim's lyrics

Entertainment Reporter: Noted Bengali singer-songwriter and composer Nachiketa Chakraborty has tuned and rendered his voice on the lyrics of young Bangladeshi writer Uday Hakim.

The song titled 'Facebook' also featured Nachiketa as a model of its music video, which was released on Wednesday (November 15) on YouTube channel 'Bajna'.

Guru Charan, another famous musician in Kolkata, also worked as the music director of the song. The music video also features the pair of Amin Rana of Bangladesh and Liza Kanungo of India alongside Nachiketa as models under the direction of Mohammadullah Nanto from Bangladesh.

The music video was shot in different locations of Kolkata including the bank of the river the Ganges.

Posting the video on his Facebook on October 16, lyricist Uday Hakim said it was originally written as the title song of his drama series, which also bears the same name 'Facebook'. The shooting of the drama is going to begin very soon.

The FB post also said that Nachiketa is working on a new album on Uday Hakim's lyrics.

"One morning actor Rana came to my office and told me to give him a script of a drama series. Being a corporate job holder, it's difficult for me to get enough time for writing script though it was regular for me earlier. Rana did not give up and one day he again came with director Mohammadullah Nanto. They kept on convincing me on writing the script and I instantly told them a synopsis, which they liked very much. I started writing the script with the title of the play as Facebook. One morning, while sitting on my car on the way to office, I wrote the title song of the play. An artist from Dhaka first sang it, which I did not like and told them that the song would be perfect if only Nachiketa renders his voice.  Rana and Nanto went to Kolkata to meet Nachiketa who said he does not render his voice on others lyrics but changed his mind after reading the script. He also tuned the song and sang very well. Later, he wished to release a music album on my lyrics and the work is going on. Rana-Nanto pair again went to Kolkata and shot the music video with Nachiketa himself acting as model. Meanwhile, I have completed script of 26 episodes and finalized deal with a TV channel in Dhaka. We are just waiting for the work order and once it is done, the shooting of the drama will start. The drama has a few surprises, which Rana and Nanto will disclose. "
