Nat’l team lose to Sk Jamal
DHAKA, Aug 22: The Bangladesh national football team were beaten 2-1 by last season’s Premier League runners-up Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club in a practice match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium Wednesday.
Sheikh Jamal, who began their pre-season preparation camp just three days ago, dominated proceedings throughout the entire duration of the practice match.
Haitian forwards Wedson Anselme and Sony Norde gave Sheikh Jamal a 2-0 lead before national team substitute midfielder Mithun Chowdhury reduced the deficit.
This was the first defeat in eight practice matches at home for the national team.
The national side is preparing for the SAFF Championship, which begins on August 31 in Kathmandu.
