National Eidgah ready for Eid congregation

Staff Correspondent: The National Eidgah Maidan is ready for the main congregation of Eid-ul-Fitr in Dhaka city.

All types of preparations have already been completed to hold the main jamaat in a peaceful manner.

Eid-ul-Fitr will accordingly be observed across the country on Saturday. National Moon Sighting Committee president Motiur Rahaman came up with the announcement this evening. 

Earlier, a meeting was held at the meeting room of Islamic Foundation (IF) at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 7:15 pm with Religious Affairs Minister and National Moon Sighting Committee President Principal Matiur Rahman in the chair. 

The main Eid congregation will be held at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises at 8:30am.

Senior Pesh Imam Hafez Maulana Muhammad Mizanur Rahman of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque will administer the Eid Jamaat.

People from all social strata, including President Md Abdul Hamid, Cabinet members, MPs and politicians will join the main Eid congregation.

Necessary arrangements including waterproof shed, fans, sitting place, toilets and ablution facilities have been set up at the Eidgah.
