Nepal plane crash: 3 survivors of a family at DMCH 

Staff Correspondent: Three survivors of a family of US-Bangla plane crash occurred in Nepal have been returned home. They were admitted to the Burn unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

The injured were known as Mehedi Hasan, Saiyada Kamrunnahar Shwarna and Almun Nahar Annie.

Dr Samanta Lal Sen, national coordinator at National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery of DMCH, confirmed their admission to the hospital.

A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the three survivors landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 4:45pm on Friday. Straight from the airport, they were taken to DMCH.

Shahreen Ahmed, 29, was the first Bangladeshi survivor of the US-Bangla disaster in Kathmandu of Nepal, who came back home on Thursday. She was taken to DMCH burn unit from the airport. She has been kept in the cabin of VIP-2 of Burn unit. Physicians said Shahreen sustained 7 percent burns on her both legs. But she is doing well.

At least 50 people including 26 Bangladeshis were killed as an aircraft of US-Bangla Airlines- with 67 passengers and four crews on board- crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu in Nepal on Monday.

The airliner crashed after making an unexpected turn in cloudy weather as it came in to land at the airport in Nepal's capital.
