New faces in new cabinet

Staff Correspondent: The ruling party Awami League is set to form a new government under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina for a new term in which the number of cabinet members is 47 including the prime minister.
Except for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, there will be 24 ministers, 19 state ministers and three deputy ministers in the cabinet.
Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam announced the names of the lawmakers to be inducted in the new cabinet at 4:30pm on Sunday.
Those who get calls in the new cabinet are Md Tajul Islam (LGRD), AK Abdul Momen (Foreign), Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun (Industries), Golam Dastagir Gazi (Textiles and Jute), Sadhan Chandra Majumdar (Food), Tipu Munshi (Commerce), SM Rezaul Karim (Housing), Md Nurul Islam Sujan (Railways) and Md Shahab Uddin (Environment), deputy minister AKM Enamul Haque Shamim (Water Resources), state minister for Culture Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, state minister for Water Resources Jahid Faruk, state minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain, state minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmad, state minister for Youth and Sports Md Zahid Ahsan Russel, state minister for Fisheries and Livestock Md Ashraf Ali Khan Kashru, state minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali, state minister for Health and Family Welfare Md Murad Hasan, state minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Shwapan Bhattacharjee, state minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, state minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain, state minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, deputy minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Begum Habibun Nahar and deputy minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury.
