Newborn found alive stuffed in bag

Staff Correspondent: A newborn baby was found alive after it was wrapped in a bag at an abandoned field in Shamibagh area of the capital on Friday noon.

Locals said jaywalkers noticed that something was moving inside a blue-colored cloth bag in the area. Later, curious people in the area opened the bag and found new born baby.

Police recovered the child and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Kazi Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Gendaria Police Station said the law enforcers are checking CCTV camera footages to identify them who left the newborn there.
