'Next general election to be held as per constitution'

Staff Correspondent: Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Dr Abdur Razzak has said the next general election will be held as per constitution.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a memorial meeting of the late national leader Abdur Razzak at the Jatiya Press Club on Friday.

Damudda Upazila Juba Kallyan Trust organized the memorial meeting marking the 6th death anniversary of the national leader.

He said the next national election will be held in schedule time as per the constitution. The interim government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will assist the election commission. BNP will have to come in the election under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Among others, Dhaka South City AL general secretary Shah Alam Murad, General Secretary of the Bangladesh Krishak League Advocate Khandakar Shamsul Haque Reza and AL leader Barrister Zakir Hossain attended the discussion.

Damudda Upazila Juba Kallyan Trust president Asaduzzaman Azam presided over the function.
