Nine more jails under construction: IG prison

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Inspector General of Prisons Brig Gen Syed Iftekhar Uddin said that the government is building nine more jails to develop overall jail management.

The IG prison made the disclosure while inaugurating 51st Fundamental Training Course of prison guard at Rajshahi central jail on Tuesday.

He said that the government approved construction of prison training academy in Rajshahi to increase efficiency of the prison administration.

The prison environment will be developed if the steps of the government implemented, he added. 

Deputy Inspector General of Prisons Altaf Hossain, Senior Jail Super Halim Khatun and Jailer Habibur Rahman and others attended the function.
