Nirapad Samaj committed to build discrimination free society

Staff Correspondent: Speakers at a discussion organized by 'Nirapad Samaj', a non-government organization, said that the NGO is committed and works to build an affluent society free from poverty and discrimination.

Informing that the organization specially providing assistance to craftsperson of traditional Tangail saree, they hoped that it would play important role in development of the lives of poverty stricken people of the society. 

The speakers made the statements during the discussion and Milad Mahfil held at the headquarters of Nirapad Samaj in Pathrail, the industrial area of Delduar Upazila in Tangail, on Friday. The function was arranged to mark the inauguration of the newly-built headquarter of the organization.

Chaired by Nirapad Samaj chairman Sohorab Hossain, also a prominent businessman, former UP Chairman of Pathrail Abdul Aziz Khan alias Chan Kha, prominent businessman and social worker Raghunath Bassak, educationist Dr. GM Shafiur Rahman, Senior Operative Director of Walton Uday Hakim, and Executive Director of Nirapad Samaj Joydev Gop were among others took part in the discussion.

Formed in 2006, Nirapad Samaj came forward with financial assistance for craftsperson of Tangail sarees which gained popularity as a people friendly NGO in the loom weaving area. The organization is providing financial support to poor weavers with small loans for their business and construction of houses, along with providing capital for small businesses and animal husbandry to retreating and poor women for their livelihood.

The headquarter of the NGO was inaugurated on Friday (January 26) at the second floor of Alim Plaza in Pathrail Bazar. Besides, they have another local office in Pathrail Bazar along with a branch office in Lauhati Bazar. Nirapad Samaj is working with good reputation for a long time under the supervision of Microcredit Regulatory Authority and Bangladesh Bank.
