'No 31st Night celebration on rooftop'

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia has said that nobody will be allowed to celebrate the 31st Night on rooftop in Dhaka indivudually.

DMP Commissioner said this in a briefing held at its media centre on Saturday noon.

He said no arrangement will be allowed to celebrate 31st night on rooftop individually. The decision has been taken to avoid unexpected incidents.

Asaduzzaman Mia said all programmes on 31st night at open space have been banned. Subject to permission, It can be celebrated in secured place surrounded by four wall.

Measures have been taken to make celebrating 31st night safe in the capital. Along with police in uniform, enough plane clothed police will be deployed across Dhaka, he added.
