‘No arson terrorism in name of politics’

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said, “Community police will work together with police to thwart any attempt to carry out arson terrorism in name of politics.”

The DMP Commissioner made the comment at a function organised on the occasion of ‘Community Policing Day’ at DMP headquarters in the capital on Saturday.

Speaking at the function, Asaduzzaman said terrorist activities were carried out in the past by throwing petrol bombs at innocent people and setting fire to vehicles in name of politics. Huge loss of life and property was reported during this time and security was at risk. But such activities can no longer be allowed. Now community police will work together with police to foil any attempt to carry out arson terrorism in name of politics.

No one will be given any chance to burn general people to death and vandalise vehicles in name of politics, he added.
