‘No conspiracies will stop flow of development’

Staff Correspondent: Social Welfare Minister and Workers Party of Bangladesh President Rashed Khan Menon said no conspiracies will obstruct the current flow of development of the country.

The minister said this while speaking at a discussion titled ‘Global Hunger Index 2018’at the auditorium of Krishibid Institution in the capital on Tuesday.

“The wheel of development of Bangladesh is moving ahead fast. None can stop the wheel of development through conspiracies,” Menon said.

Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) organised the discussion.

Speaking as the chief guest, Menon said the government has allocated 13.4 percent of the total budget in social safety net sector. Bangladesh is now hunger and poverty free country and the government proved it through its works, he added.

He said Bangladesh is now self reliant in food through vast development in agriculture sector.

DAE Director General Mohammad Mahsin and Directorate General of Food Director General Md Arifur Rahman Apu addressed the discussion as special guests.
