No discussion on quota system: Cabinet Secretary

Secretariat Correspondent: Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam said no discussion was held on quota system in public service.

The cabinet secretary said this while responding to a query of journalists at the secretariat on Monday.

Earlier, a regular cabinet meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s office with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Shafiul Alam said no guidelines on quota system in public service were given during the cabinet meeting. But he expected that a gazette will be issued in this regard.

In reply to another query, he said the cabinet today did not hold any discussion on quota system in public service and so there is no headway in this regard.
