'No fear of terror attack during Pahela Baishakh'

Staff Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that there is no fear of any terror attacks that could jeopardize festivities during Pahela Baishakh.

The Minister made the assertion while addressing newsmen after a meeting with top officials of law enforcers at his secretariat office in the capital on Monday.

The meeting decided to impose ban on Vuvuzela whistle and pillion riding on motorcycles.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Haque, Rapid Action Battalion Director General Benazir Ahmed, Maj Gen Abul Hossain as the Director General (DG) of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Police (VDP) Major General Mizanur Rahman and other high officials joined the meeting.
