‘No fear to lose jobs if not involved in anti-state activities’

Newly appointed chairman of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd makes a courtesy call with Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith.

Special Correspondent: Arastoo Khan, the newly appointed chairman of the Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd, said there is no fear for employees and staff to lose their jobs if they are not found to be directly connected to anti-state activities.

 

The chairman came up with the assertion while replying to questions of journalists after a meeting with Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith on Thursday noon. Md Abdul Hamid Mia, managing director of the bank, was also present during the meeting.

 

Arastoo Khan said that he came to make a courtesy call with the Finance Minister and discussed different issues about the bank during the meeting.

 

Islami Bank is doing well from all sides. All bank officials concerned will work together to accelerate the speed of its activities. There is no fear for employees and staff to lose their jobs if they are not found to be directly connected to any anti-state activities, he added.
