No live telecast from voting booths: CEC

Staff Correspondent: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda has said nobody will be allowed to telecast live from the voting booths, but media can telecast live from the corridor or premises of the polling stations.
He also said, “No one can use mobile phones inside the voting booth as well.”
The CEC came up with the disclosure at a press briefing at media centre of the Election Commission (EC) on Saturday afternoon.
He also urged journalists to enter the polling stations in limited numbers.
ECE further said, “The above instructions were given so that the presiding officers can discharge their duties properly.”
