‘No one under 12 years is domestic worker’

Senior Reporter: State Minister for Labor and Employment Mujibul Haque Chunnu has forbidden not to engage a child under 12 years as a domestic worker.

He said, “Do not employ any child under the age of 12 years as a domestic worker and do not beat the employees.”

He said this at a press conference on ‘National Occupational Health and Safety Day-April 28’ on the occasion of May Day.

The state minister said, 'No worker in Bangladesh will be helpless before the Golden Jubilee of Independence in 2021. For the welfare of the workers, the government is implementing various initiatives.

On Friday, a procession will be brought under the leadership of the state minister from Tejgaon College of Farmgate tomorrow on the occasion of Safety Day. The procession will end in the National Agricultural Institute.
