‘No scope for foreigners to raise voice against search body’

Bogra Correspondent: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, also general secretary of the ruling Awami League, said there is no scope for foreigners to interfere over the search body formed to reconstitute the Election Commission (EC), as none of its members are not involved in Awami League politics.

He made the statement while speaking an Awami League rally at Altafunessa Ground in Bogra on Friday afternoon.

 
Quader said, “We (Awami League) believe in development. The government already spent Tk 400 crore to construct 727 kilometer roads and another TK 400 crore to preserve banks of Jamuna River.”

He also urged the local leaders to refrain from using the power saying, “Nobody is allowed to show the strength of power. Try to enter into the people’s heart.”

“Bangabandhu daughter Sheikh Hasina has already made room for herself in people’s heart as she is rapidly making the country developed. You also have to achieve the virtue,” he said.
