‘No threat on Pahela Baishakh’

Senior Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said there is no threat of terrorist attack that can hamper the celebrations of Bengali New Year 'Pahela Baishakh’.
The minister came up with the assurance while talking to reporters at his secretariat office on Sunday noon.
Asaduzzaman said, “This year’s Pahela Baishakh will be celebrated in a festive environment. All-out security measures have been taken for the celebrations of Pahela Baishakh. Our detectives are working over the issue. We received no kind of threat on Pahela Baishakh. So there is nothing to be worried.”
While talking about special security for Mongol Shovajatra, he said, “No one can enter inside after Mongol Shovajatra begins. There can be a chance of sabotage to occur if someone is allowed to enter inside after the beginning of Mongol Shovajatra. We have taken all steps so that no miscreants can join Mongol Shovajatra after it starts.”
Law enforcers have been asked to remain alert so that no one can create any kind of chaos during the celebrations of Pahela Baishakh, he added.
