No untoward incident reported during Eid vacation

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said that no untoward incidents were reported during Eid vacation due to alert position of law enforcers.

The DMP commissioner made the opinion while addressing a programme at DMP headquarters in the capital on Monday.

He said, "We had a tension during Eid Jamaat as some ill minded people are plotting to defame holy religion Islam. We have foiled their plan. It was possible due to join effort of all."

Expressing relief, Asaduzzaman said that about 34,000 members including cleaners and commissioner have passed the time as a family. We had a plan to enjoy the Eid in a peaceful manner. 

DMP Additional police commissioner, Joint police commissioner and Deputy police commissioner and other high officials attended the programme.
