Obaidul Quader’s condition improving

Staff Correspondent: Road Transport and Bridges Minister and ruling Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader’s health condition has improved. 

When asked about the physical condition of Obaidul Quader, doctors said, although, he passed the whole Sunday in a senseless condition but later, he blinked his eyes at night. The high blood pressure and diabetics are slightly under control now.

Obaidul Quader was admitted to the CCU of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Sunday morning following his breathing complications.

Hospital sources said that the minister had been diagnosed with three blockages in his coronary artery.

Prof Syed Ali Ahsan, chairman of the cardiology department of the BSMMU said, “The physical condition of the minister is unstable. Nothing could be said about his overall condition until 72 hours are gone by.”

Earlier, a four-member doctors’ team arrived Dhaka from Singapore around 8:30pm. They are also observing the physical condition of Obaidul Quader.
