Obaidul to be released from Singapore hospital today

Senior Correspondent: After going through a coronary bypass surgery, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader is set to be released from the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore this afternoon. 

“The hospital said he will be released from the hospital at 3.00 pm on Friday," said Abu Naser Tipu, deputy principal information officer of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges.

Abu Naser Tipu told risingbd.com, “He (Obaidul Quader) is fit. He would be given clearance from the hospital this afternoon. After getting the clearance from the hospital, he will be taken to a rented house there for some days for further treatment. Later, the follow-up treatment will be conducted from there.”

Earlier on March 2, Obaidul Quader was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). He was diagnosed with three blocks in the heart. Later, he was shifted to Singapore for better treatment.
