Oikyafront to unveil election manifesto by 3 days: Kamal

Senior Correspondent: BNP and Jatiya Oikyafront will jointly unveil their election manifesto within next three days.

Jatiya Oikyafront leader and Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain made the disclosure while talking to newsmen at Paltan in the capital on Wednesday afternoon.

“BNP and Jatiya Oikyafront will jointly announce their election manifesto by December 8,” Dr Kamal said.

He urged the media to keep vigil against any “unlawful activities” of the police force during election.

Putting emphasis on the responsible role of the media, Kamal said, “If you (the media) see any irregularity with police, report it. This responsibility of you (the media) is very important on the election day.”

He reiterated his call to the public for “guarding the polling centres” during election.

“The government fell into uncertainty when Oikyafront decided to join the election,” he said.
