Oishee's appeal verdict any day

Staff Correspondent: The High Court will deliver a verdict any day on the death reference and appeals in a case filed against Oishee Rahman on charge of killing her parents in 2013.

The HC bench of Justice Jahangir Hossain Selim and Justice Md Jahangir Hossain on Sunday kept the death reference and appeal of the case waiting for the verdict after concluding hearing.

Lawyer Afjal H Khan moved for Oishee Rahman while Deputy Attorney General Jahirul Haque Jahir and Assistant Attorney General Atiqul Haque Selim moved for the state.

Earlier, on March 12, the HC started hearing on the death reference and appeals in the case.

A Dhaka court on November 12, 2015 found their daughter Oishee guilty of killing her parents and sentenced her to death.

On August 16, 2013, the bodies of Mahfuzur, inspector of Special Branch of Police, and his wife Swapna Rahman were recovered from their Chamelibagh house in the capital.
