One held with drug in capital

Staff Correspondent: Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) has held a person named Md Ali Mia with drug from Chhuritola area of the capital’s Bangshal.

On Sunday night, Ramna Circle of DNC arrested the person from the third floor of the 151 no. house of Lutfar Rahman Lane.

Circle Inspector Kamrul Islam told risingbd that a man named Ali was detained after a raid on the basis of secret information. At that time, 635 bottles of Phensidyl were recovered from him.

In the interrogation, Ali told the DNC officials that he is a salaried employee. Owner Shahabuddin Gharami ordered them to sell it to different people in the capital. Shahabuddin collected Phensidyl from Comilla.

Kamrul Islam also said that Shahabuddin was not found during the raid. Earlier, Shahabuddin was arrested with Phensidyl. At that time a case was filed against him. But, later he went out of bail and started the same business again.

A case has been filed with the Bangshal Police Station.
