One injured in Banani fire dies

Staff Correspondent: Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal, who was injured in the devastating fire at the high-rise FR Tower in Banani area of the capital city, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a city hospital.

With this, the death toll from the fire has climbed up to 26.

Abu Hena, 41, who has been undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), died here on Saturday morning, said Faridul Alam, sub inspector of Banani Police Station.

Abu Hena had worked at a private company housed at 11th floor of the FR Tower.

So far, 26 persons were killed and more than 70 others injured in the deadly fire at the high-rise FR Tower at Banani road no.17 on Thursday (March 28) noon.
