One killed, 4 hurt in Chattogram landslide

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: A person was killed and four others injured when a wall collapse following heavy rainfall in Rahman Nagar area of Panchlaish thana in the district in the wee hours of Saturday.  

The deceased was identified as Nurul Alam Nantu, 32.

The incident took place around 1:00am

Confirming the matter, Enamul Haque, in-charge of Bayezid Fire Station said a heavy chunk of hill collapsed on his house in Hillview residential area in Panchlaish. Later, on information, rescue team from the fire station recovered dead body of Nurul Alam and rescued four others alive from the debris.
