One killed in city road crash

Staff Correspondent: A youth was killed and four others were injured in a road crash in front of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) office on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Didar Hossain, 28, a resident of Jatrabari. He used to work of mobile servicing at Nahar Plaza of the capital's Elephant road.

Local sources said a private car hit a human hauler in front of DSCC office around 10:30pm on Monday, leaving five injured. They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where Didar succumbed.

Bachchu Mia, Sub-Inspector (SI) of DMCH police outpost, confirmed the death.

The body was kept in DMCH morgue, he added.
