Operation 'Eagle Hunt' at C'nawabganj postponed

Staff Correspondent: The anti-militant drive 'Eagle Hunt' at suspected militant hideout in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj has been postponed on Wednesday night.

In a press briefing, Proloy Kumar Joardar, Deputy Commissioner of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit said that the operation is postponed now. The drive will be resumed again tomorrow morning.

He also said that militants threw grenade aiming law enforcers from the house.

CTTC Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mohammad Yousuf Ali said that four explosion sound heard from the militant den around 8:00pm.

Earlier, Special Weapon and Tactic Team (SWAT) began the operation in the militant hideout on Wednesday evening.
